How does this work?
In our Keyword Difficulty formula, we analyze the presence of the analyzed keyword in the ranking page’s title, to understand how focused the content of the page is.
Usually, when a page ranks in the top 100 and the content is not focused on the keyword, the rankings could be significantly improved with just some content updates.
And that would make it easier for the user to improve the page ranking, towards the top 10.
The opposite is also true: when the content is already focused on the keyword, it would need Authority improvement, which is harder to get.
