New Looker Connector: AIO and AI Search data

While SEOmonitor's new connector is undergoing the review, you can already start working with it through this dashboard builder.

It generates a live Looker Studio report already bound to your campaign, giving you a full picture of your SEO and AI performance without building anything from scratch. Any account with Looker Studio access under its subscription can use it, on any site.

The report is built on our new unified SEOmonitor connector. Where the classic connectors (Campaign, Competition, Organic Traffic, Forecast) each expose one slice of your data, the unified connector brings many more data points through a single integration, and adds AI Overview (AIO) and AI Search data on top.

The unified connector is available today through the template below. Standalone install from the Looker Studio gallery will follow once Google publishes the connector.

Each report ships as one report, four pages, nine data sources, and 39+ charts, all bound to your campaign on first open.

Generate your dashboard

  1. Enter your API token. You can find the token in SEOmonitor via the top-right dropdown, Edit Profile, API Token or through this link

  2. Pick the campaign you want to report on and click Create my dashboard. In about 5 to 10 seconds the builder generates your dashboard link.

  3. Click the link. Looker Studio opens with a Edit and Share access.

  4. Review the pre-filled data sources and click Edit & Share access.

  5. Your personalized dashboard loads with your live SEOmonitor data. Depending on the size of the site, it can take 5 to 10 minutes to fully populate.

What's in the report

The hero scorecards first describe the search landscape for your tracked keywords: the number of keywords tracked (main keywords and close variations), the SERP feature impact on blue links impressions (% Clicks), SV, and how many of your keywords return an AI Overview in Google. These figures describe the landscape in Google, not yet your own visibility.

Below that, your own top-level performance: organic Visibility, your Visibility, mentions and citations in AI Overviews, and your average site rank position within those citations. If AI Search is enabled, the same metrics appear for AI Search.

A daily trend view plots these metrics over time (switchable between desktop and mobile Visibility).

A group summary table then breaks down search volume, Visibility, and AI Overview data per keyword group, and is filterable by group name.

Per-keyword positions, search volume.

This page is about your ranks: average rank position, how many keywords sit in the top 3 and top 10, the pages ranking in the blue links, and your organic Visibility, alongside per-keyword positions and search volume.

AI Search, AI Overview detail.

On top of the Visibility metrics from the first page, this page adds AI Overview keyword counts: how many of your keywords return an AI Overview, in how many your brand is mentioned, and in how many any brand is mentioned. If AI Search is enabled, you also see your AI Search presence here.

As the second level of the reporting, the dashboard also surfaces, what are the keywords that return AIOs and your presence in those. If AI Search is enabled, you can find a breakdown of your presence on a keyword level in LLMs too.

The same AI metrics, now compared against competitors: your total Share of Voice in AI Overviews and AI Search versus other competitors.

Use the template as a starting point

The template is a builder helper, not a fixed report. Treat it as a library you build from:

  • Copy what you need. Explore all four pages, then copy any table or chart straight into your own existing report and point it at the site you want by switching campaign in the parameters:

  • Switch device. Every chart builds for desktop by default. Select a chart and switch it to mobile Visibility (or any other mobile metric) as needed.

  • Filter. Add filters to focus a table, for example on keyword groups that contain a specific name, or on an exact set of groups (use the filter control and select the Group name field).

  • Customize freely. Because it is a copied Looker Studio report, you can restyle, rearrange, and blend it with other data sources like any other report.
