With our Keyword Research, get access to monthly keyword data and pick the best keywords to improve your keyword strategy (included in all subscriptions, at no extra cost).

Choosing the best keywords to track is an important part of an SEO strategy. To identify which keywords to track, you need data to determine whether they are worth pursuing. Adding a large number of keywords to the rank tracker only to find the best ones, would get very expensive. But you might want to keep an eye on how they're performing โ€“ first analyze them over a period of time, and then pick the best ones to track daily based on their performance.

With our Keyword Research, for a list of keywords, you get access to their current SERP, search, and ranking data (desktop only) and continued monthly updates so you can see how they are performing and decide if they are worth tracking daily and including in your keyword strategy.

Almost a rank tracker for unlimited keywords

Our Keyword Research gives you the same data as our Rank Tracker for unlimited keywords, the difference being that the data is monthly instead of daily. And this is included in all subscriptions at no extra cost.

You begin by adding the keywords to a Keyword List manually or importing them through a CSV. At a keyword list level, you can see the SERP and search volume data, Year-over-year trends, along with the % searches that end up being clicked and visibility metric for desktop.

We update this data on a keyword level and on the keyword list level every month. You can see how fresh the data is by looking at the crawl date for each keyword. At any given time, the data is not older than 30 days.

With our Keyword Research, you can not only perform keyword research, but also keep an eye on how your website is performing over time, on a larger pool of keywords. This improves your monthly reporting insights and helps you pick the best keywords to expand your strategy when needed.

Clean list of high-quality keywords

Having access to a large list of keywords may be useful, but it is laborious to analyze. We want to give you a curated list of high-quality keywords as opposed to a larger exhaustive list. Also, to be able to provide data for any number of keywords, we must ensure that we don't create waste. To achieve this, we have a keyword qualification process in place that:

  1. Accepts only alphanumeric keywords

  2. Filters out branded or navigational keywords, and zero or extremely low search volume keywords, as they are not good keyword opportunities (Why?)

  3. Aggregates close variations, combining search volumes under one main keyword, just like Google Ads.

We fetch and update data only for qualified keywords, so you get a smaller, manageable list of high-quality keywords that are free of clutter, such as search volume duplicates, misspellings, and errors. This makes Keyword Research accurate and reliable.

We keep the frequency of updates monthly. This helps us provide you with all the data for Research keywords at no extra cost while also keeping our system lean and efficient.

Add keywords directly to the Rank Tracker

Creating and managing multiple keyword lists helps you analyze the overall data to pick the best keywords to track. We keep your Research keyword lists consistent and separate from your daily tracked keywords in the Rank Tracker, but we give you an option to directly add them to the Rank Tracker if you decide to track them daily.

In the Rank Tracker, you get daily ranks for both devices, automatic labels, landing page change tracking, and all the data you need to start working on improving their rankings and measuring performance with the best accuracy and granularity.

To summarize, with our Keyword Research, you get monthly data and metrics for an unlimited number of keywords at no extra cost. This helps you see the current performance of the keywords, keep an eye on them and make data-driven decisions on which ones to track.
